How to Inspect and Replace the R.O. Sediment Filter

Work Instructions: Inspecting and Replacing The R.O system Sediment Filter

Preliminary Note: The sediment filter should be replaced every 3-6 months, depending on its inspection. Inspection should be done every three months. 

Parts Needed

• RO filter cap (if broken) ((P-WAT-2514))
• RO filter lock ring (if broken) ((P-WAT-2515)
• Sediment Filter (P-WAT-2414)

Procedure

1. Turn the Reverse Osmosis System off. Place a Lock-out-Tag-out the R.O. System
2. Ensure the pressure at PRS1 is 0 psi.
3. Remove the snap ring on top of the unit.
4. Remove the cap on top of the unit by pulling it up on the cap’s handles.
5. Remove the filter.
6. Insert the replacement filter.
7. Insert the cap.
8. Insert the snap ring, and ensure it snaps into the groove to adequately contain the cap.
9. Remove the Lock-out-Tag-out and turn the R.O. System back on.
