Tommy 2.0 Blowers - Work Instructions
Engage a wash stop.
Turn all blower disconnects to OFF. Then, set all blower overloads in MCP2 to OFF.
On the iPad HMI, attempt to start each blower in Manual mode to confirm none can energize.
Safely stage a ladder under the first blower with secure footing. A spotter must be present whenever a Team Member is on a ladder.
Remove any physical debris from blower nozzles, housings, or intake areas. Only remove trash or material that can be safely pulled by hand.
Confirm that the U-bolts on the motor mounts are present and secure by checking their tightness with a hand tool.
Inspect the housing and nozzle hardware to ensure all bolts are secure and there are no signs of internal rubbing.
Inspect the blast gate, including the air cylinder hardware, to ensure all components are secure and undamaged.
Repeat the full inspection process for all blowers.
- If any abnormal findings are detected:
- Keep the blower disconnect OFF.
- Apply lockout/tagout.
- Contact Equipment Support.
