Air Solenoid Leak
An air solenoid leak is likely caused by one of two issues:
1. You are sending more than 100 PSI to the air solenoid. This is the most common occurrence that causes the solenoid valves to hiss. After your air compressors you are required to insert a Master Air Regulator which will maintain the air pressure through all your air systems and ensure it doesn’t vary as your air compressors turn on and off. The regulator is typically set for 90 PSI and some systems like your garage doors may break off before your air regulator. If you do not have an air regulator to drop the pressure down you will find blowouts and damage to some of the components in the system that are not made to operate with more than 100 psi including your air solenoids on your pump panels.
2.If this is an isolated case with a single solenoid, you may find the solenoid is backward and is pushing air in the outlet and out the inlet. The blowoff release will then constantly blow out air and not block the air as it should when it’s in the proper direction. Reverse the IN and the OUT of the solenoid.
