Polyflo Tubing LeaksPolyflo tubing is used in the wash for both air functions (such as foaming applications) and somechemical applications depending on the method selected for installation.Leaks in the tubing may occur for a few reasons:•First, in a new facility tubing may leak if it is not installed correctly and pressed fully into thereceiving fitting.•Secondly, over time the tubingcan be affected by UV light. Typically in areas near a window orunder a skylight the material is broken down quicker, causing the tubing to becomebrittle,crack, and leak. For Totally Tommy buildings (which include amplewindows and a clear roof) we use and recommend blacktubing which can greatly reduce or eliminate the rate of UV breakdown.•Third, tubing may be damaged by pressure, crushing, or grinding. If heavy equipment comesinto hardcontact with tubing it may cause damage and necessitate replacement.It is recommended that owners or operators keep extra tubing on hand in case repairs areneeded.
